Artist Statement
“Envisioning the inimitable perspectives of everyday life, mixing surrealism with pop art.”
Inspiration finds me in unexpected moments—while walking through the city, deep in an engaging conversation, spotting a curious word, or even during casual scrolling online. Almost anything can spark a visual twist in my mind, where reality meets the surreal.
Once I have an idea, I begin with rough conceptual sketches, often in mini form to quickly capture the essence. From there, I dive into researching references for each element I want to include. After refining the sketch and laying out the composition, I move on to color, whether through flat art, gradients, or textured layers. Light and shadow are always part of my visual language.
For me, the heart of the process is finding harmony within the artwork. This can take anywhere from half an hour to several weeks. I trust my intuition—when every piece feels like it’s in the right place, that’s when I know the artwork is finished.
