“We are not trapped or locked up in these bones. No, no. We are free to change. And love changes us. And if we love one another, we can break open the sky.”
Editorial illustration for Popshot Magazine. In this illustration assignment, a human greenhouse concept was used to complement the idea expressed in the poem. With a structure very open and clear, the body is seen as a tool, a place, or space for growth. Also, the plants are meant to follow the light, like the hand reaching the sun, directed to the sky.
In this literary quarterly you can find short stories, flash fiction and unusual poetry. Shortly after publishing its first editions, Popshot became a pioneer among British poetry magazines, achieving significant international distribution in 18 countries.
