Science Magazine (AAAS) - "Summer reading"

February 20, 2024 in Editorials

Hot summer vibes and Modern Architecture for this Science Magazine "Summer reading 2022" editorial illustration.

The commissioned artwork consists of a set of implied clues that seek to represent the eight upcoming or recently released science books recommended by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).

All these co-existing elements have created a multiverse in this backyard house, inspired by the architecture of the great masters of the modern style, Mies Van Deer Roe and Phillip Johnson. Between vibrant colors and pieces that evoke summer memories, the reader is curious to find more about the symbolism and connect it with the books on display.

“The books on this year’s summer reading list encourage readers to push past well-trod assumptions about a variety of topics — from farming to magic — and to have fun doing so”
— Valerie Thomson

Embark on this literary adventure and discover the full list of book reviews on the Science Magazine's official website. Your perfect summer read awaits!
