The Prismatic Sight is a light installation prototype centered around a square-based pyramid frame. Its intricate grid and strategically hung mini-prisms manipulate the path of light, creating a dynamic interplay of colors, contours, and shadows. This results in a spectrum of hues that transform the surrounding space into a captivating environment, inviting contemplation of the harmonious effects between geometry and illumination.
This interactive light source allows participants to slide their phones into a designated pocket, transforming them into dynamic controllers of color, shadows, and reflections. As the phones move, the prisms respond, altering the hues and shapes, offering a personalized journey of light.
Utilizing the properties of refraction, reflection, and color, the installation creates complex patterns and colors akin to a rainbow. Light reflecting off the geometric surfaces adds intricate patterns and enhances visual complexity. This combination of optical properties offers an immersive and interactive exploration of light's behaviors, allowing participants to personalize their visual experience.
